In the heart of Burgundy the Chateau de Marais is an ancient vineyard with a mythical status among wine connoisseurs.

Cara is an ambitious journalist with a passion for wine. After an old friend arranges for her to stay at the Chateau de Marais to write a feature, she sees it as the opportunity of a lifetime.

On the eve of her departure, tragedy strikes when her old friend dies in horrifying circumstances. Undeterred, she travels to the Chateau de Marais and is welcomed by its charismatic owner, who indulges her with the finest wines in his cellars.

Troubled by the death of her friend, she struggles to settle in the idyllic surroundings and is beset by powerful and disturbing hallucinations, which she begins to suspect may be induced by the wine itself. As she explores the area and meets the locals, she learns that the Marais family has a deeply disturbing history.

Determined to discover the estate’s dark secrets, she is about to encounter an evil older and more deep-rooted than the vines.
